Name;Thomas Moore
Age;26 years
Gender;Male
Appearance; Thomas is rather normal looking for a young man, although still holding a childish lankiness he is rather tall within his family standing a good six feet. He is normal looking in.. composition but not color.
Thomas is albino and is classified as a OCA2 albino meaning he can develop some pigment, which contributes to him having an odd icy blue shade of eyes. Rarely does he lack pigment completely but it does happen on a few occasions and he is usually out of commission during those days, not really feeling that great he usually recuperates by resting and sleeping the day away. But his skin is very fair, and usually need protection unless on route 113 where he usually goes to train.
His body is very lean, but muscular at the same time. You could say he is trained more on his lower body than his upper body due to riding his Typhlosion for quick transportation. Although he is normal weight for his age and size, he doesn’t always look it with some of his clothing. He often appears larger than normal, although the truth is he wears under armor when riding or getting ready to train his Pokemon as his body can be far frailer than normal people.
Thomas, often like albinos, has white hair. Unlike normal albinos his hair is rather thick and is rather grown out too. He usually grows it out against his neck to protect his sensitive skin, rarely does it grow further than that. Other than that, his hair cut could be described as normal. His bangs overlap his forehead and are often pushed to the right side.
Thomas has a nicely fleshed face, he is pleasant to look at and he gives off a warm glow often enough despite not really smiling the majority of the time. Although he dislikes direct eye contact, he knows not everyone takes it as hard as he does with his Pokemon so he usually just forgives it. But Thomas is usually content in expression when it comes to outside appearances.
Thomas has a multitude of outfits but he does have one specific outfit he wears in the gym and on work outside of gym duties. It is composed of a hard, thick leather over armor on his chest, abdomen, and around his lower body to about mid-thy. This armor ties at both sides on the sides of his body with a leather slip. The armor has some décor to it, but it’s mostly just shallow carvings of the titans of Hoenn. Under his armor is a light brown shirt that ends in cuffs, the shirt he considers long sleeved although the shirt with the cuffs folded ends just above his wrists. He does have a cuff on the neck of the shirt, this is always folded down. In the center of the shirt blow the neck line is the family stone. Green in color, the cabochon of Peridot is held there by a strong brass clip. It can be removed if needed. Around his mid-abdomen Thomas has two small belts running around the leather armor in order to keep it in place and closed securely. His pants are deep brown in color and are rather baggy on him, although from his knees down are large boots. At his knees are brass caps to place over his knees for protection against kneeling far too much and general riding problems. His boots are a medium gray-brown and lace up with straps, although the two straps at the tops of his boots are what keep them fully secured. Occasionally, over his armor, he’ll wear a shawl that slips on his from over his head that fades from light brown to a light green. The edges of this shawl are embroidered with black blocky designs of Typhlosion.
His voice is definitely male in sound, but still not excessively deep. It’s pleasant sounding, although he doesn’t desire to talk all that much as it is. He will usually talk quietly, unable to be heard instead. Although if he thinks the subject is important and he needs to be involved he will speak up.
Personality; Growing older and returning to his original hometown Thomas has generally returned to being a happier person that he once was, not as simple as he returned with new knowledge of the future and of the past. Still he rather remain quiet and off to the side for the majority of occasions.
Thomas is usually well mannered, loyal, and collected. And by usually I mean he, like many others, have his off moments. Rarely does he have them outside of the privacy of his home, but he can occasionally and it’s often wise to avoid him as he will try to avoid the said person(s). He keeps his word though, and he will make things work out if they don’t appear to be.
He is extremely serious when it comes to battling, training and giving out badges. He never gives them away for free outside of a gym battle unless something impressed him quite a bit, although he runs his gym differently and winning against Thomas is not required to win his badge. Even if you are defeated in a gym battle there is a chance that you could gain the badge, as long as effort was put into the battle and defeat of at least two of his Pokemon can get a badge. He is thoughtful in battle, and often watches the battles of his challengers before they hit his gym. Testing the creativity of his challengers tickles his fancy, he believes you should walk away with a lesson or tactic learned.
Thomas is quick to learn, this is from spending his life with his Typhlosion and he finds he reads Pokemon often better than people from time to time. He can understand what his Typhlosion are saying, and his only mixed breed Pokemon speaks to him through telekinesis. All three Pokemon he can understand are often the translators for all the other Pokemon he owns or encounters. He is not afraid to talk to a Pokemon specifically and he often will if he has a translator with him.
History; Thomas is not your ordinary boy; his history is long, violent, and sickeningly hard for anyone to go through. Thomas was originally from the past, the boy had a family.. a home.. a place he loved life in. His world existed a little over 900 years from the present day, back when Pokémon were only animals with special powers and they were used to live in everyday life. Some owners went so far to call them slaves to the family or to their work, most of the Pokémon then were huge and considered dangerous but they were kept in line with a system of dominance. These creatures were not your average animals, they had a human intelligence at the least and the humans back then realized this. The creatures were not stupid, they weren't treated as such though rather they were treated like humans under a pact of bondage. They knew their job, and they did it without question or else things they may not like would befall them. This is the type of world Thomas lived in, where many superstitions existed about certain Pokémon, the so called Legendaries were all powerful gods that held grudges against the humans for populating their lands.
Thomas was born in Fallarbor Town, the year born was approximately 1093. Whether it was October back then or not it was about that time then when the leaves had a change of color and the air was cold and crisp. He was born to two very dedicated parents and a very loving older brother. The family was a middle-class farming family in the northern part of Fallarbor Town, where they grew crops of things such as wheat, corn, and other such plants that were used as food. They also grew a small about of trees but also cared for the trees that grew in-town as well. The family was well known for its growth of crops and they sold their crops to other towns as well that were in the area. Thomas grew up with chores to do, his mother usually stayed at home cooking and cleaning while his father, brother and him went out into the fields to care for the crops with their magical creatures in tow. The main creature the family revolved their live around was the Typhlosion and its evolutions, this family may have not been expert breeders but they knew a good Cyndaquil when they bred one.
Though, before Thomas could actually go out with his brother and father. When he was a young and relied on his mother's care. His family knew he was different; the color of his skin and hair. At first they guessed the child was just a very fair-haired child, and that it would simply grow darker as he aged. But as the months past, all that changed in color for Thomas was the color of his eyes which changed from a baby blue to a pale and icy looking blue. When the expected change didn't take place, the townsfolk began to grow wary of the child and his mother, as if it was his mother's fault for the strange coloration of her child. The family themselves were accepting of their son, they had seen something similar while breeding their magical creatures. Where strange coloration would take place, they didn't understand it like the rest of the town but they felt it was unexplainable and the boy was as normal of a boy as all the rest of them. The town learned how to cope as the family proved that he wasn't any different within his first year as to avoid any problems in the future.
When Thomas aged one, he was given his first partner. A newly hatched Cyndaquil, it was a male who his brother named for him. The Cyndaquil received the name Cynfor(Kin-vor) which meant Great Leader, the name stuck to the small creature like glue. Thomas and Cynfor grew up together, more or less side by side. Thomas and Cynfor were inseparable, they were pals. But it sickened his father to see such as the Cyndaquil was meant to be a work animal, not a companion. Often sleeping in the same bed and go as far as sharing the same food, it greatly irritated his father but his oldest son told their old man to relax. Younger years were more for play anyway, there was no reason to rip that away like it had been for his brother.
When Thomas hit ten years of age, his father decided it was time to train Thomas and force Cynfor to finally evolve from a Quilava to a Typhlosion to manage the exhausting work in the fields. Within that same year, a frantic father pushed the boy's creature even harder as Thomas' brother's Typhlosion had gained a lung infection and died the following year. As the eldest son's Typhlosion passed away, his father took Cynfor for work. Ripping the two apart, leaving Thomas without a friend. His brother obtained Cynfor as the Quilava was nearly ready to evolve. Thomas was given a clear sign to stay away from Cynfor, as the creature was no long his and if he interfered with its training then there'd be a great punishment. Thomas heeded the warning, so he wandered the town during the day time and took care of the trees inside the town. Trying to start conversations with those that lived there, but it didn't succeed and he simply couldn't make friends with the townsfolk. Though his brother saw the complete depression of Thomas, he knew if he went against his father's wishes then it'd be the end to both of them. So his brother sought out a different solution.
The family owned a large amount of trade crops as well as food crops, he ended up trading a share of these crops for a new Quilava of the Glass Blower that lived not far off the town. Giving back Thomas Cynfor, even before the creature could evolve. Their father didn't notice the difference, thinking Thomas simply found another one himself through the Glass Blower as that is what the eldest son suggested in his reassuring lies. Their father believed them wholeheartedly, their mother knew of her children's tricks but it had to be done as Thomas would quickly regain his confidence and friendship with Cynfor. But the creature wasn't the same as he use to be, the once fun loving animal turned into a more work oriented animal, the creature now wanted to work which made Thomas change his plans and thoughts about working on the farm. The two trained for the rest of the year to get Cynfor into his final form, which they completed fairly quickly. At age eleven, Thomas had a newly evolved partner and he carried out responsibilities much like his brother did when he was his age.
During the harvest on Thomas' twelfth year of life, a traveler came through. The character was particularly shady but completely mysterious and graceful to Thomas and Cynfor. The person intrigued the two greatly, so they invited the wary traveler into the family's house and Thomas as well as his brother listened to the strange man's words. It turns out; the man was a region traveler. He lived his life off of his travels, he had come from across the seas from a small isle(Mossdeep) and he had heard that a god lived nearby the town. Thomas knew nothing of a god living close by, it never occurred to him the same creature that created the lands of Hoenn was indeed inside the volcano and was the cause for the ash the fell gently upon the town and its outskirts. The man claimed to be an adventurer, but as soon as their father heard of the man's expeditions to find the god he was thrown out of the modest house of the Moore's. Thomas was enthralled with adventure now, he wanted to see new places.. he wanted to see all these different places the man said existed in Hoenn. He wanted to see a god now. Thomas would beg to leave the town to see other places up until his nearing thirteenth birthday, when surprisingly he got his wish...
The following days his father crafted Thomas gear, from the pelts of the Typhlosion that had served the family well in their years. Making a fireproof saddle pad, saddle, and reins for Cynfor. It'd be a quick and easy way to travel and ensure the creature didn't decide that it was indeed free as it left the town.
Thomas packed up two days after his thirteenth birthday, said goodbye to everyone and went on his way. Going towards the desert of Hoenn. The two found the journey difficult, the desert was unforgiving and its sun scorched Thomas' sensitive skin. For the rest of the way through the desert, he covered up in a large blanket made from Mightyena pelts. By the time they were through the desert, the pelt was completely destroyed so they tossed it to lighten the load. By this time, about three days after he set off, Cynfor and his master were growing hungry and weak. But Thomas pushed the creature to continue on. They ended up coming into a village(Mauville City), though it wasn't rich in food it was rich in people who would care for Thomas and Cynfor, he stayed for a few days as he asked around which way to go to find the ocean. They directed him across the channel of water that led to a community that lived in the trees, that was famous for routes that constantly gave way to rain. Humid conditions allowed the grass to grow so tall it was impossible to actually move well.
But Thomas had an issue, how would Cynfor cross? Although he was of the fire element and he was to cross water.. this was not Thomas' main concern. It was getting the equipment wet, he already knew Cynfor could handle the water but he knew nothing of what the saddle could handle. Thomas would sit on the beach, looking out at the land across the small, but overly deep channel. It was one day a woman came across him, looking out at the shores opposite and asked what he was doing. As he explained his conflict, the woman knew exactly was to do. First, the woman offered him a large amount of wool the fibers were generally water resistant so Thomas could place it over the saddle when it came time to. Then the woman brought over a strange device, it was much like a raft but it seemed to be cut from a single tree. This thing was huge, and it floated with great buoyancy, it could easily carry Cynfor and Thomas as well as the woman who would glide them over to the other side. As they landed, Thomas offered up some of his salted meat to the woman. She refused and pushed her large boat off the shore and glided back to her village.
Thomas had never encountered a warmer, more humid place in his life. The grass was so healthy that moving the over sized blades would cause a glorious swishing sound that met the team's ears like bells at dinner time. They were none the less impressed how healthy everything was for a wild growing plant, but Thomas soon discovered why. The rain came quickly, even quicker than Thomas could manage to pull the wool over the saddle but he eventually succeeded in his goal, and the two were eventually wet with misery and rather ungrateful for it. Later the night, finding a place in a large set of bushes to hide away in, they discovered a nest of bird eggs. To their delight the mother bird didn't return. Cynfor had the first egg, confirming the eggs were very well to eat. Cynfor learned a trick, cooking the egg while still inside the shell for Thomas as the boy wasn't very fond of raw things. They were attempting to save their meat for more troubling times. The next morning, it was still raining, and the two were still in not a happy mood about it. Especially poor Cynfor, the wet clung to his fur like water to a sponge. Occasionally Thomas would have to push the water out of the creature's fur to make the wetness a little more bearable for the fire element. But, as they continued along.. they were met with another challenge. The same river that posed a problem in that village back there, well.. they didn't have a boat this time around. So they risked it. They got as far as they could away from the waterfall and attempted to cross, thankfully the water only reached the Typhlosion's mid-arms but the climb up the face of the waterfall's great heights would be a difficult one.
With the continuous flow of water down the face of the cliff, the ground was loose which made everything harder for the two. For the first half, he had to push Cynfor into making his find a good footing and continue. By the time they reached the top, the two were covered in a deep mud. But still they went on. They quickly came to another part of the river they knew they had to cross, but.. it seemed someone else had crossed not too long ago as they improvised with a large log that stretched the length of the river's crossing point. Happy things turned out easier this time around for them, they quickly made it into the village made of trees(Fortree).
The people of this town were less giving and more wary, they obviously didn't like strangers coming onto their land. So Thomas and Cynfor crossed through the town and rested on the outskirts of it nearing the ocean. Thomas and Cynfor stayed for three days, mainly sleeping for the time, Cynfor occasionally going out to hunt as instructed and often brought many strange creatures back. Cynfor would proceed to cook it, Thomas often refused the meat and ate the salted meat that was packed away for the trip. The townsfolk never really came to bother Thomas, but at times they were bold enough to peek into Thomas' hiding place within a lowly bush that sat close to the ground, at times they placed offerings of strange and aromatic fruits that tasted sweet, whenever he went to thank them they simply hid away as if they were greatly afraid of him. As he prepared to leave the tree top village, he concluded it might have been Cynfor that scared the town. Being a fire element, a town made from trees certainly wouldn't stand a chance if Cynfor was to choose to attack. So he left quickly, into more tall grasses.
The two wandered along this long stretch of land for a good time, about a week or so it took them to figure out how to leave the strange long grasses. Strangely enough, Thomas and Cynfor felt as if they were being watched as they found their way around the route. But, everything would change as they wandered into an uplifting area. The rain stopped, but still the clouds were persistent over head. You could just barely see the ocean from the strange outcropping. Cynfor was the one who took interest in it, the Typhlosion wandered off. Thomas, not able to stop the creature, went along with him.. then they came to a ruin. It was strange, surrounded by six large rounded stones, the ruin seemed like something out of a legend.. and Thomas was partially right. As Thomas reached out to stop Cynfor from entering the strange ruin, a strange black and white creature(Absol) attacked Cynfor from the side. Cynfor was rammed into Thomas who fell over easily. Landing on his butt, Thomas got up as fast as he could to discipline Cynfor for not listening to him before. But as he got up, the strange black and white creature failed to move away... instead it drew closer to the two, Cynfor 's ears were pulled back and his teeth bared at the strange creature. Thomas was fearful of the creature right away, something about it seemed.. unnatural.. its human-like features proved to be very strange indeed. It frowned at the pair as it made its way closer, making grunts of disapproval at Thomas. Cynfor lashed out at the creature as it came too close to his master, Cynfor got hold of the creature's back leg and tore at the creature. Violently tossing it from side to side, the boy screamed at Cynfor forcing the creature to let go of the strange bloody figure. Thomas frowned as Cynfor had easily killed the creature, he felt like it was unnecessary for Cynfor to kill something that didn't seem to want to harm the two but clearly Cynfor thought otherwise.
The beast's head turned towards the ruins once again, he called to Thomas to try to drive the boy away from the dead creature that had simply been watching over them. Thomas gave the body one last pat as he turned and wandered cautiously into the ruins' broken entrance. The shadows of the ruins seemed darker than normal, it felt just as unnatural as that black and white creature had. But Thomas was incredibly light headed instead of curious. As the two continued to search the ruins, they discovered a small cavern. Cynfor pushed through it and flared up in order to grant the boy's eyes with a light, but what Thomas was looking at.. he wasn't very prepared to encounter.
In the middle of the small room was a large humanoid creature, the flare up by Cynfor woke the monster up.. what appeared to be six eyes were glowing, it began to make strange sounds. The body of the creature was heavy, as it turned to face Thomas and Cynfor the ground shook beneath them, Thomas gulped nervously as Cynfor crouched to the ground. Thomas recognized it as a titan god, the way the body shown in the firelight he guessed it was the metal titan. Though he only knew its name, nothing about the creature in full.. but he knew the titans weren't against humans but he wondered what'd happen if you accidentally woke one up.. As the titan approached further, it was clear that the god didn't wish to hurt them. But it did want Thomas and Cynfor to leave, the creature pushed Thomas towards the door in a childish way. Thomas grunted in pain as he tripped through the doorway and Cynfor followed, the god make a few more noises and stacked up rocks in the doorway leading to the resting place of the titan. Thomas was perplexed, he encountered a god and yet it wasn't exceedingly dangerous. He didn't understand why whatever that black and white creature wished to warn him? This would be discovered soon, as Cynfor ran off inside the ruins again. Thomas called for him to come back, eventually he did but he held a book in his jaws. The boy took the book, wiped off the saliva left behind by his partner and read the title. It was a black book with gold lettering that read 'The Oracle Zone', it was dirty and grungy and overall unpleasant to hold but the book was strange.. It had a dark aura around it. Unknown to Thomas it was a cursed item, it was alive.. it possessed things.. it killed people. As Thomas and Cynfor exited the strange ruin, curiosity got the best of him and he sat down and opened the book. Which was the wrong thing to do on all levels.
-Oracle Zone-
Thomas was violently rip from his own reality and into a new one, he was actually sucked into the book itself. Trapped for years and years to come. Cynfor had avoided the book and ran away from it, as soon as Cynfor returned the book was surrounded by the same strange black and white creatures as before. They all seemed to be rather angry, though all they did was hand the book to Cynfor to carry away. The book was sealed, there was no way it was to be opened until the story and events were completed by the boy. Which would prove to be extremely difficult for Thomas.
Thomas' eyes met darkness, all darkness... nothing was defined.. no light.. but he felt a surface below his feet.. but he lacked to see it.. Something told him to move forward, so he did. He began noticing a night time atmosphere, things he had never seen before.. lights.. technology.. He felt a panic rush over him as he watched everything come into focus, watching people from the safety of his little dark alley way. The magical creatures walked around with humans, some on leashes.. some he didn't even recognize.. He suddenly felt a hand rest on his should, his head spun around to view a woman. She smiled sweetly and took Thomas along with her to a house, not really a house.. but a building that was close by, it held many round red and white things.. like containers.. She told him what he needed to know about this strange world that revolved around technology and then presented Thomas with six of these creature, know called Pokémon as he understood. He was presented with a Zangoose, Ralts, Meowth, some type of slug thing(East Shellos), an Odd colored Absol, and a Duskull. He now knew the possible benefits of having the Absol, so he quickly reached for the Absol. The woman allowed him to take the Absol, who was previously named Tsubasa. Thomas kept the creature's name and took instruction on what to do next. And it came to a shock to him..
He had to fight.. in a war... he had to go around and collect these pieces of something called the Oracle Pieces and use it to defeat the source.
This item, the book itself, was from a future time. The story itself was written in the terms of the present time, the book was a strange item that often time traveled. The story was about a war, and it was up to a band of trainers that had been caught inside the book to fight in the war and win against this unknown force of evil, which all together was the book itself. Thomas himself wasn't given these details as the woman lacked to know this as well, being a character in the book that would help the trainers come across their first Pokémon.
And that was all, he was sent on his way out of the city and into land that was dry and barren. With Tsubasa at his side, he traveled through the desert with much difficulty, the hot sun hurt him greatly. Eventually, after a day of traveling Thomas got sick of the sun beating down on him. He shielded his face and neck from the sun, sacrificing the extra protection to his back. Which was the causes of having many scars for the most part. By the time the two forced their way into the next area.. a forest they thanked the gods for it.. the thin and worn down team would seek refuge inside a house that Tsubasa would luckily find later down on the path.
The forest wasn't so innocent though, the cabin they went into was to be one of the most horrifying events they would have to encounter together. The house was infested with spider Pokémon, blood stains spotted the house both on the inside and outside, though Tsubasa drove the majority of the spiders away.. they apparently had a leader.. an Ariados and its master who was an older man.. who was indeed mentally insane. The man broke through the door, startling the two who were relaxing in the middle of the floor of the cabin. The man screamed words Thomas failed to understand, the boy was half way undressed at the time, ready to fall asleep on the hard wooden floor of the cabin. The man walked a few steps before Tsubasa unleashed a Razor Wind at the man, seemingly insulted the man called for his Ariados. The man's crazy eyes signified a threat, 'GET THEM!' he screamed, Thomas grabbed up his clothing and took a defensive stance.
Tsubasa was in no experience to fight such a strong foe, Thomas shivered. Outside, the rain began to fall. the leaks in the roof were clearly defined as the rain fell harder. It was a standoff, but as the man released a mechanical laughter he ordered his Ariados to attack. A Poison Jab was the first thing it tried to strike with, Tsubasa ripped Thomas out of the way with an aggressive swipe of his rather massive paw, a deep cut formed quickly. Thomas screamed in pain, but got the message to keep moving. Thomas ordered the Absol to attack, but the Absol's attempts were over powered. So they decided to take the back entrance... which was a hole in the wall. Grabbing Tsubasa by the strange scythe-like appendage they both jumped from the building as they reached the ground lightening struck the ground. The ear shattering crack burst into flames as they ran for their lives. The Ariados tried to keep up, but it failed to make its way through the hole in the house. The house caught fire in a matter of seconds as Thomas and Tsubasa escaped.. or so they thought.. Not only were they in a large ring of burning forest, surrounded on all sides, but.. Thomas was wrong to think the Ariados didn't survive.
As they stopped to look back, the burning house fell and it then reviled something big.. the Ariados had lived and with its master's last command to kill Thomas scorched into its mind.. that was what it had to do. The Ariados gained up on Thomas, he attempted to climb a tree that the flames had already licked but it was no use. Thomas only had enough time to toss his clothes up the branches before the weak Ariados grabbed a hold of him with its ugly jaws. The bug threw him to the side, landing on flaming pieces of wood. Scorching his back, screaming the boy rolled over as fast as he could. Tsubasa was attempting to battle off the bug, but it was useless as Tsubasa was easily flicked away from the bug's standing point. Over the flames and into a deep gully. Thomas slowly got up to face the bug Pokémon, but he knew it'd be the end of him if the bug indeed did get to him. His eyes grew fearful, he was tired and bloody.. so much pain he couldn't really deal with it for much longer.. Just as the Pokémon was to kill the boy, a tree fell, a very large tree. Crushing the bug-like Pokémon, Tsubasa appeared on the top part of the tree that he had been able to cut down it seemed. Tsubasa was the one who grabbed Thomas' clothing from the tree. But as Thomas crossed the tree into the gully, he collapsed on the other side. The small gully had water in the bottom of it, which was a relief to Thomas as he lost consciousness.
Thomas, when he woke up, was greeted by a guy in a white lab coat. Still heady and severely sick, Thomas' tried eyes opened slightly. Bright lights were in his face, as well as the face of an older man in the lab coat. Thomas was strapped to a chair, restricting his movements as well as his breathing. The boy inhaled smoke from his event in the forest. The lab coat claimed the boy and his abnormal Absol were now experiments to test whatever they'd like.. Thomas was outraged, but couldn't do too much other than complain and cough, then catch his breath. Then, suddenly the room grew cold.. death followed for the scientist very quickly. He frozen instantly.. cold wind brushed against the holdings that help the boy down. At the will of this strange.. coldness, the restraints crumbled away. Thomas took a moment to look at the frozen scientist, a face frozen in fear.. all of it seemed.. like a dream that should have happened. But he suddenly heard a disembodied giggle, and footsteps followed down a hall. He gave away and followed them, unsure whatever this thing was.. if it was leading him to his lost Pokémon.
A testing lab was where he was brought, breaking down the door his eyes met a messy, disgusting, and scattered used needles and shot containers. Large equipment was a common component in the lab, but one thing was missing.. Well, two. Where were the Pokémon and why were the lights out? Walking in slowly, he held his breath in anticipation. Suddenly the door was flopped back up, the loud crash of the door echoed throughout the building. Thomas looked over to it quickly, seeing the door form a thick sheet of ice over it.. there was no way out now. Thomas became wide-eyed, frantic he scrambled away from the disembodied giggling voice as he called out loudly to his Absol. He was trapped into a corner, the only corner the strange coldness didn't touch and it was about to. It grabbed at his arms and face violently, clod fingers leaving behind a trace of violent destruction. Thomas screamed in pain as he fell to the floor, his hands pinned to the floor by an unseen force. It was then Tsubasa's true power was seen, the Absol appeared out of the darkness of a nearby corridor and rammed the unseen threat with a powerful Zen Headbutt. Angry growls came from the air as the attack forced the creature to show itself, a Froslass appeared. Its stark white body glowed with an angelic glow, but this creature was a devil.
Tsubasa was on the advantage, but it didn't end exactly well.. the Froslass was simply over powering the already weakened Absol. Tsubasa ended up fighting a good fight, but the devil Froslass froze the poor Absol in the heat of battle. The Froslass would giggle again, floating down towards the Absol to seal his fate. Thomas spoke out, begging the ghost to leave. The Froslass saw this as no more fun, and simply left the boy and his creature. Thomas' frostbitten hands and face began to clear up as the temperature returned back to room temperature. Thomas wandered over to the Absol, laying on his frozen body to clear up the frozen status. It failed to help much, he felt miserable for pushing his Absol into something so dangerous.
Thomas gently picked through the ice until a male of about age twenty came into the room by the broken door. He had a Chimchar, Thomas shifted to see the male but failed to move from Tsubasa's still frozen body. Though the Absol was showing signs of life, Thomas wasn't so sure if the Absol would make it. Thomas still bore the injuries of yesterday's event, now feeling the pain of it all. The male that entered walked over towards the younger male, picking him up off the Absol. Stating that this was no place for a kid, nodding towards his Chimchar to unfreeze the frozen Pokémon. As the Absol thawed, the older male told Thomas to return his Pokémon as Thomas was placed back on the floor. Which he did, Thomas quickly told the man he wouldn't leave without his proper clothes as all he was wearing was the white pants and white shirt that seemed to haunt the lab's subjects. Thomas bent down to the monkey Pokémon's level. Thomas thanked the Pokémon, but all it did was smile back at him.
Thomas sat down on the floor, holding his head in the palms of his hands trying to withstand the coursing pain. He needed help, he was sure he needed more help than some guy that walked in and found him could offer. The older male returned shortly, holding the boy's clothes. Thomas was lifted up by his arm, which the man slung over his neck and lifted the agonizing boy up and would move him to a camp. Thomas had passed out for most of the travel, though it took less than an hour.. Thomas was dragged to a Ranger's camp, where the male dropped Thomas off and left. Thomas never saw him again. Thomas was slowly nursed back to health, five months to recover from his burns that caused him much pain. Tsubasa made a more speedy recovery, but the Absol stood at his side faithfully. As soon as Thomas recovered, for the most part, he went on his way in secret. He left the camp into the forest even further, where he'd meet up with one of his first and possibly closest friends in his history.
They met by a rouge Pokémon attack, a Pinser had strangely attacked this blond haired boy and his team. It could either have been about territory or the fact the boy had been training not too far from there and it disturbed the bug Pokémon. Thomas came to the boy's rescue with a refreshed Tsubasa, though the Absol was at a disadvantage it chased away the pissed off Pinser. Thomas learned that the boy was named Sean, whether or not he was actually trapped in the book like Thomas was.. he had no idea. He never dared to bring any of it up in fear of anything worse happening. But the boy named Sean, he had quite a few Pokémon on his team compared to Thomas' single Pokémon. But the boy's first Pokémon was his Pikachu, named Hyoto. Tsubasa and that Pikachu became friends just as fast as Thomas became friends with Sean. It seemed that their loneliness would take advantage of their meeting and force them to travel together for quite a time.
During the seven months of traveling and training together, Thomas would obtain only one other Pokémon.. in the form of an egg. What hatched from it surprised Thomas because they weren't known to be in forests, a Larvitar hatched from the egg. It was very clear that this small Pokémon, who Sean suggested naming him Matsumo, was very capable of making trouble. The Naughty Larvitar would go out of his way to make trouble for Thomas, often injuring Thomas by hitting/attacking him when he didn't get his way. But Matsumo would prove to be rather morbid and lacking respect of authority despite the Larvitar being hatched by Thomas. The Larvitar's mind was dark, it didn't mind to kill and it certainly didn't care what his trainer thought on it. Matsumo made that very clear the very day Sean was killed.
After the seven months had past, the two trainers and their Pokémon still resided inside the forest. Either training or enjoying themselves with some well needed relaxation, Thomas failed to capture anymore Pokémon but Sean made progress as he quickly caught many Pokémon that suited his own tastes. Though Thomas would have wanted more Pokémon, it just didn't seem possible as Matsumo needed quite a bit of attention due to his poor attitude. He needed to be shown who was in control most of the time, and this made it difficult to catch more Pokémon. But Matsumo proved to be Thomas' powerhouse... eventually.
It's difficult for Thomas to even come to terms this very day of what happened in the forest, the two trainers were just about ready to exist the forest and move onto a city they knew to be near by thanks to Sean's Murkrow. The boys ran into a battle, unfortunately the battle was turned on them as they attempted to cross through the battle torn area. The snake hid in the trees at first, but as it picked Sean out for a target it silently fell to the ground. Sean, or Thomas, didn't understand what had happened until the Serviper struck Sean in the leg with its poisonous tail. Thomas would rush to Sean, the boy's leg mangled, Thomas was unable to stop the bleeding and this is what generally cost the boy his life. It was Matsumo who stepped up to the plate, and what he did was unexpected for the age he was. Matsumo single-handedly defeated the Serviper, killing it by slicing the creature in half with a directed Pursuit attack. Thomas rightfully feared Matsumo from that day, understanding that the Pokémon didn't worry about killing. It'd take a long time to make Matsumo a Pokémon that wouldn't kill on whim. Sean's life died away during that night, losing his only friend.. it hurt him badly and put him into a state of fear. Thomas didn't take Sean's Pokémon, items, or money.. Sean's Pikachu followed him.. but Sean was left in the forest, leaned up against a tree. They left quickly as authorities were in the area and they knew that. They didn't want to know what happened the Sean's body after they left it so they never looked back.
From then, Thomas didn't stay in one place for very long, he went around town to town battling the Shadow Holders to complete it all. He was far more careful and refused to travel with anyone other than his Pokémon. Sean Pikachu eventually wandered off one day without a trace, and Thomas left it as that. Thomas successfully collected four out of the seven pieces until he ran into a problem that the pieces on the other holders had simply.. already been defeated for them. This would trigger the oncoming war.
Thomas was, one day, greeted by a large bird Pokémon.. a Fearow.. Thomas had already taken a good guess to why it was there so he mounted the bird who flew him to where everything was said to happen. An island, it held the source of all evil that was held in the book. Thomas may not have completed the Oracle Stones himself, but others that would be there waiting for Thomas would most likely have the rest of the pieces. Thomas was surprised to see a large army of Pokémon in the wake of the small island that the evil seemed to radiate off of. The Fearow landed with grace on a rocky ground, instantly Thomas was met with several different people asking to see the rest of the oracle pieces. All the people there were ready for battle, armored from head to toe. Though Thomas wasn't far behind him, as he was suited up quickly as he handed the rest of the pieces to who seemed to be the leader of this war. Thomas was asked to release his Pokémon to help the effort of the war, Matsumo was now a Tyranitar from the training they did for the years that were behind this event. His dark attitude never faltered though he was loyal to Thomas now, which Thomas was grateful for. Tsubasa was still as loyal as ever, he stood with Thomas as the battle would concur. Thomas' two Pokémon were armored up, Matsumo was a leader into the heading of the battle. As the army marched up the side of the cliff-face that held a cave.. the source of all their troubles it seemed. The Pokémon that existed there did nothing to attempt to stop the marching army, they observed with malicious grins on their face.. seemingly knowing what awaited them inside the cave.
Thomas never saw it, the darkness in the cave was far too great but the battle ensued for the army. Thomas' main reason for being there was to command attacks, the person who held the Oracle Gem was the one that had to sacrifice themselves to try and save the others. Unfortunately, before that could happen.. most of the army was killed off by this great evil. It left Thomas, one other person, the Oracle Holder and a few Pokémon including Matsumo and Tsubasa alive for the last part of the battle. As soon as Matsumo was struck down, so was the other few that remained protecting the two trainers. The Oracle Holder.. he was safe, while he kept a hold on it nothing could touch him. But as he released it, throwing it into the depths of the darkness he was killed instantly due to the corrosive evil power of it all. Thomas witnessed the end of the evil, both Tsubasa and Thomas were bloody and ridden with exhaustion. Thomas was the last one alive other than Tsubasa, but the boy was in far harsher condition that Tsubasa and the Absol knew this. As the portal, or book, opened back up.. Thomas was pushed through by his faithful Absol, leaving the Oracle Zone forever but not leaving his memories behind. Tsubasa stayed behind, giving Thomas the best chance to get back to the world he once left.
As Thomas left the book world, he was 17 years of age. Unbeknown to Thomas, outside the book over 900 years had passed in the real world. as he escaped the book, he found himself confronted in a library.. not in the region he belonged in either.. he found himself in Johto.
- New World -
Thomas was now in a region that his Typhlosion's species originated from, though he did not know this. Thomas had an extremely hard time to adjust to the change, the technology was far more advanced this time around. It hurt him to even comprehend what a Pokedex was.. But thankfully, he had some help.
Not long from finding himself in this strange new world, Thomas met up with a boy around the same age as him. The boy’s name was Rockie, they had a fairly... intimate relationship but nothing excessive it was more due that Thomas couldn’t handle much more than having one person around and how he dearly missed having another person around. Years without another person to talk to left a huge impact on how he felt with people. Rockie just happened to be a lucky person who was easily trusted and Thomas would never be disappointed by him and he never was. But his time with Rockie in Johto was short lived when Thomas became restless and went in search of Celebi.
Thomas’ goal when he found Celebi was to request to travel back to his era, back to his family… back to Cynfor as he missed the beast so much. But, instead of Thomas’ idea.. Celebi brought Cynfor to the present instead. Though Thomas feared that Cynfor would simply become a wild beast, he was surprised to find Cynfor greeting him with a warm embrace. Throughout that same day, Thomas would be tempted to change his pace and travel to Sinnoh, all in all this is what he did to start a new life.
Thomas, as he got to Sinnoh, was a traveler. He noted how strangely safe it was for trainers to travel and explore. But this was until he met up with Team Galactic’s Cyrus, the man was out to recruit and Thomas was a target of his after one accidental meeting on a route he didn’t know the name of. Cyrus offered Thomas a full rooster and a home in the Resort Area, Thomas couldn’t turn it down thus he became a map maker for Team Galactic as he often traveled the mountain ranges close to Mt. Cornet. Thomas wasn’t the one to stop Cyrus, but he certainly was the one who helped him pave a path to the top.
Thomas’ team was released shortly after Cyrus’ defeat, only keeping Cynfor once again, but Thomas refused to give up the house he was promised and lived there up until he entered into several contests.
The first being one of survival, unfortunately he was unable to continue in the second round due to sickness in both him and his team he rented out. So he dropped out of the competition. Once again only having Cynfor at his side.
Thomas returned to the Johto, landing himself in Goldenrod City where he earned a solid member of the team. Axelle, a fairly old Typhlosion with not much fight left in him at that time. The beast had monstrous wounds and burns along his body, although Thomas can speak and understand him Axelle has refused to speak to Thomas about what had happened to him in his prime years. But as the younger Thomas patched him up, the Typhlosion decided to stay with the boy and become part of the team.
It was before he left Johto that he picked his only hybrid up, Morphous, he was just a pup back then and Thomas didn’t know the creature’s possible powers but he felt connected with the pup as he was afflicted with albinism as well. He trained with Morphous as he set off onto the Unova Region by plane, he worked hard over the years as he caught his team.
He was around 22 when he decided he needed to head back home finally. Scared to death what could be there waiting him, but with his team he felt pretty confident he could face anything back in Hoenn with no problem.
He took about three years to get back to Fallabor Town, although not many recognized him they knew the legends surrounding the Moore’s history. The farm house was no longer standing in its original build, it was rebuild after a fire that happened about ten years before he got there. Although nothing in the fire was actually lost due to the historical objects being held in a museum rather than in the house, although the house itself was in poor condition before the fire befell it. The farmlands out back still existed, although the land was over grown with grass and old trees. Thomas didn’t revive the land, he simply resided in the house before the opportunity rose to take up the gym in Lavaridge Town. His years of experience made him gain the gym.
The gym, the interior, is partially used to grow plants for all uses. This is on the first floor, the second floor is the area that battles take place.
